Jyothika Sadanah

Jyothika Sadanah was born to Chander Sadanah, a film producer, and Seema Sadanah, on 18 October. 1978 in Mumbai, India. She was born into a Punjabi family. Actress Nagma is her half sister. She completed her schooling in Learner's Academy, Mumbai. She later majored in Psychology at the Mithibai College in Mumbai[citation needed]. She also has two other siblings, Roshini (born Radhika) and Suraj, who is working as an assistant director for Priyadarshan.

She married actor Surya Sivakumar on 11 September 2006, with whom she had acted in seven films. The couple have a daughter, Diya, who was born in August 2007 and a son, Dev, born in June 2010.

Her first movie was the Hindi film Doli Saja Ke Rakhna with her co-star Akshay Khanna , directed by Priyadarshan.

She later ventured into the Kollywood film industry. Her first role, in 1999, was a cameo appearance in Vaali, which starred Ajith Kumar and Simran. That year, another film, Poovellam Kettuppar was released. Saravanan played the protagonist's love interest, alongside her future husband, Surya Sivakumar.

She was awarded the Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award for her role in Kushi. She also received the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for Perazhagan in 2004, Chandramukhi in 2005 and Mozhi in 2007. Her last movie, Seetha Kalyanam was released in 2009. She retired from acting after marriage.
